On course for expansionSince the beginning of March the Katzenberger Fertigteilindustrie in Wiesing /Tirol that used to be part of the Fröschl Group was taken over by the Kirchdorfer Group. It has thus become a subsidiary of Maba Fertigteilindustrie acting for the first time across the whole of Austria.

“In the areas of infrastructure and civil engineering, Katzenberger has become one of the leading companies in this branch.” Mag. Erich Frommwald manager of the Kirchdorfer Group is very pleased about the signing of the contract with the Fröschl Group, one of the biggest construction companies in Austria. “Now we are geographically well positioned and have become an important supplier in Austria, from the East to the West.” says Frommwald.

Founded in 1926, the Katzenberger Fertigteilindustrie specializes on high-quality precast concrete products such as manholes, rings, slotted channels, precast construction parts and special parts for civil engineering and infrastructure. Our customers are commercial and industrial construction enterprises, the Austrian Road construction company Asfinag and the Austrian Railroads ÖBB.

Know-how transfer

The management agrees that the new subsidiary in Wising/the Tyrol shall soon profit from a manifold know-how-transfer taking advantage of both companies’ technological know-how. Ing. Edauard Fröschl said, “Now we are well positioned for big construction projects such as the Brenner Base Tunnel or power plants.”

The management points out that the present team of the Katzenberger Fertigteilindustrie will not be changed. Mag. Thomas Nayr, Christian Nageler and Dipl.Ing Bernhard Rabeneither were appointed managers.
